    Golden League Girls Soccer

Quartz Hill girls soccer team, the Rebels, was eliminated in the CIF play off game with Hart yesterday.  Hart took away the win 2-0

Nevertheless, the honors for the Golden League player of the year remained with Quartz Hills Keeper, Charity Blanton

CIF Playoffs--Quartz Hill Girls Soccer team--The Rebels

    Only Time Will Tell

In the  first round of playoffs Quartz Hill won 3-1.  They will meet and play Hart this coming Wednesday.

The game should be an interesting one.  My granddaughter, Charity plays goalie for Quartz Hill.  She is a great Goalie.  She had a 11 game straight shut-out in the Golden League.  Personally, I feel she is the best goalie around.  This is the first year in sometime that Quartz Hill has made it past the first round of play-offs.  I hope to see them go all the way.  I know they can do it.    Only time will tell!

    Quartz Hill versus Highland--soccer game

Oh what at game it was.  CIF playoffs come next

    Only Time Will Tell

Charity Blanton, my granddaughter, is the goalkeeper for Quartz Hill High School Varsity soccer team.  Tonight is the night the league champion will be determined.  Only time will tell whether  Quartz Hill or Highland are champions and which team goes on to the CIF championship games.

Charity will not only be starting on the open field, but also opening the entire event by singing the National Anthem.  Go Charity!

There was a nice write up in the paper about her (see below).  She is quite a athletic as well as a singer.

Charity is a finalist in the DOT Talent Show competition; she earned that honor with her solo performance on Saturday, February 2, 2008.  She will also be performing a duet with Justin Colon on Saturday, February 9, 2008; they have high hopes of making it to the finals with their duet performance.  The finals will be on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 2:00pm at the Palmdale Playhouse.

This week is a very special week for Charity.  She has the soccer final game in the Golden league and the finals in the DOT Talent Show Competition.
